Biggest surprises for me are Paul Greengrass, Sally Hawkins and Idris Elba nominations; the total absence of The Butler. With SAG and Golden Globes nods out our guessing game seems a bit cloudy -with a few category exceptions- so I'm looking forward to learn the Guilds nominations to gain a clearer vision.
12 Years A Slave and American Hustle lead the pack with seven nominations each and if you like stats check distibutor tally: Sony Pictures Releasing leads the pack with 11 nods followed by The Weinstein Co with 9 nods.
As we know Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the awards ceremony and Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedwick, is this year Miss Golden Globe. Awards ceremony will be on January 12, 2014 and will air live on NBC.
